Living in Pittsburgh

I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is home for this chapter of my life, while Addis Ababa is still a large part of who I am and how I see the world.

Growing a family

I am a father of two, soon to be three. Fatherhood takes more of my time, energy, and heart than anything else. It also teaches me more than most books do.

This website

I keep working on Hawando.com and writing the essays published here. The site is a place to think in public, explain what I am learning, and leave a trail of ideas I can return to later.

WebonAI

I am building WebonAI, an AI website builder for people who have an idea but do not want the usual friction of turning it into a real, useful website.

The regular 9-to-5

I still keep a regular full-time software job. It pays the bills, keeps me close to real engineering problems, and gives my side projects room to grow without forcing them to become something too early.

Jembr

I also maintain Jembr.com, an Amharic learning website built to help learners practice words and grow their vocabulary.
